COMMISSION TERMS OF SERVICE

By purchasing my work, you agree to the following terms of service.

Please read this carefully and in its entirety.

Failure to follow these terms will result in the rejection of your commission and future commissions.

WHAT I WILL DO:

  • Original characters

  • Fan characters

  • Furry/Anthro characters (NOTE: I am somewhat inexperienced on this front, so I'll try my best.)

  • Fan art

  • Mildly suggestive content (keep it PG-13 at most)

  • Light gore (cuts, bruises, etc.)

  • Other people's characters for gifts (tell me if I should keep it a secret!)

WHAT I WON'T DO:

  • Explicit sexual content

  • Fetish art

  • Anything promoting offensive material (racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, antisemitism, pedophilia, etc.)

  • Detailed mechs or armor (simple is OK)

  • Real life people (unless you have a drawn persona of yourself)

  • Hyper-muscular characters

PAYMENT
I only accept payment via PayPal’s invoice system. I request 100% of total payment up front (after negotiations, and before any work has been done). I will send you an invoice via email requesting the required payment. Payments must be in USD.

Once a work is completed, I will not accept refunds. If two months have passed and you have not received an update from me on your uncompleted commission, I will give you the option to be refunded in full, in exchange for the cancellation of the commission.

ARTIST
I retain all rights over my work. I still have the right to distribute, reproduce, or use the image as an example for sales and self promotion, unless otherwise agreed upon. However, I cannot resell or make any additional profit on the work without consent from the commissioner after final payment has been collected. This means I cannot use the work in a different commercial project, such as merchandise, prints, or paid digital media unless I am specifically given the OK to do so from the commissioner.

I will respect any requests to not publicly post your commission, no explanation required. This includes posts to social media, web pages, live streams, videos, or any other form of digital media I have not mentioned.

I cannot claim ownership over any existing character designs or IPs I have been commissioned to draw.

I have the right to reject any commission for any reason, without question.
I have the right to reuse, modify, and resell any rejected (by either me or the commissioner) sketches or incomplete works at a later date.

Please understand that I am still a human being. There may be times where other things will get in the way of me completing your commission, which may cause it to take longer than expected. I ask that you please be patient with me if such a situation arises–I am not delaying your commission out of spite, I promise.

COMMISSIONER
You may use the piece you commissioned from me on your social media profile/icon, forum signature, or other digital media as long as proper credit is given to me, and a link is provided back to one of my web pages or social media accounts (if possible). However, I kindly ask that you do not re-post my work as a new post on Twitter, Tumblr, DeviantArt, Instagram, Facebook, or any other website, unless if you have specifically received permission to do so directly from me.

You may not claim my work as your own. You also may not make any edits to the work without permission. If you need alternate versions of your commission (for example, you need multiple versions cropped in different ways) either ask me to do it for you, or get the OK from me before you do it yourself.

These works are for personal use only. You may not use the work for commercial projects (such as video games, comics, books, merchandise, etc.) unless if otherwise agreed on. In other words, you may not re-sell my work, physical or otherwise.

Special note: YouTube videos can count as a commercial project, because they can be monetized. Therefore, I am hesitant to provide my art for YouTube videos as an option.
If you are not sure if your project is considered personal or commercial, ask for clarification.

If you attempt to file a charge back without any prior discussion and agreement beforehand in an attempt to scam me, I will record any and all conversations and interactions we had proving your agreement to the payment of the commission to deny your charge back to PayPal. I will be able to claim all rights to the image you commissioned me. You cannot commission me again, and I will make your name publicly known to warn other artists about your behavior.

PROCEDURE
Contact me via Twitter, Tumblr, Deviantart or my email (listed at the bottom of this page) to start your commission. From there, we will negotiate specifics, such as what you want the piece to be, how you want it to look, pricing, and how you plan to use it (remember: personal use only). You must attempt to provide visual references for each character.

After initial negotiations, I will send the invoice to your email. I will only begin working on the commission once the invoice has been paid in full. Because this is a fully digital service, no shipping information is required. If you are for some reason asked to input shipping information when paying the invoice, please do not input your street address. Instead, let me know and I'll attempt to resolve the issue.

From there, I will continue to give you updates on the work’s progress through either social media private messaging, or through email. These updates will include images of the unfinished work. I will also ask you for any feedback on the work in progress in case if there’s something you want changed or fixed, so please keep in contact with me as I work on your commission. There is also a chance I will be working on the piece live on my Twitch channel, so that may be a good way to provide your own feedback as you watch me work on the piece, too.

Once the work is completed, I will send you the full-size, non-watermarked version of the final commission to your email. A smaller, watermarked version will be uploaded to my various social media accounts (TwitterTumblrDeviantArtWordPress, Wix). This is why I ask you do not upload my work to your own social media account as a new post--no use having two different posts of the same artwork posted by two different people.

After the work is completed and has been sent to you, I will send a “receipt” of sorts to your email.

TLDR:

  • Don’t steal my work.

  • Don’t edit my work without permission.

  • Don’t make money off of my work.

  • Don’t upload my work to social media without permission.

  • Don’t expect a physical version of your commission.

If you are interested or have any further concerns, please contact me:

(FYI, you are most likely to receive a more immediate response through my email.)
